Mrs. Brobjorg's Policies: Absences:It is the student’s responsibility to request, gather, and turn in make-up work on time. Students are allowed 5 days to complete make up work, however, it is recommended that they complete assignments as quickly as possible to stay current with the content. It is NOT the teacher's responsibility to get missed work to you. Please see the student handbook. Reading Materials: Students are expected to have their personal reading materials at all times. They shouldn't be in class without a book. Homework: Students are expected to read their selected books every night. They will have journal prompts, conferences, projects, and writings centered around their chosen books. On Mondays, students will be assigned an article to read over the course of the week. They will then be accountable for thinking notes and given a quiz on Friday. Test Retake Policy: If you fail a test or quiz, you may retake it during foxes den or after school. In order to do so, you must fill out a form and get a parent or guardian's signature. I will then take your highest grade. Tardies/Late-This is unacceptable, students are to be on time and ready to work everyday. Book Choices- I DON'T CENSOR books!! I have provocative teen literature in my personal library. If your student has certain rules about literature please discuss that with them. It is their responsibility to select books within the parameters of home. *************************************************************************** Behavior Expectations: -Students will use a formal, sophisticated language at all times.
